In addition to a prequel comic for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Insomniac Games announced that Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is now available to purchase standalone on PS5 later this month. The remaster was previously exclusive to the Ultimate Edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales when it launched in November 2020.
It will be available to purchase standalone for $49.99. Those who bought the base game, Digital Deluxe Edition or Game of the Year Edition on PS4 can upgrade for $10. Those who own Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales can also still upgrade to the Ultimate Edition and obtain the remaster. Of course, if you play Marvel’s Spider-Man via PlayStation Plus, it’s not eligible for an upgrade.

Insomniac hasn’t provided release month, but Sony reiterated its release for this fiscal year. Stay tuned for more details, especially with the rumored PlayStation Showcase later this month.
