Many questions have been asked about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and when it might launch in recent days and weeks, and while Sony and Insomniac don’t yet seem ready to show more of the game, they have narrowed down its launch window from its previously confirmed 2023 release.
In a PlayStation Blog article that gives a brief overview of major upcoming PlayStation releases for software, hardware, and accessories, Insomniac and Sony have confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be releasing sometime in Fall 2023, which would be between September and November.
There have been several indications pointing to the same in recent days. A Fall launch window for the game was recently leaked via the personal website of one of its writers. Shortly before that, the game was briefly available to wishlist on the UK PlayStation Store (before being promptly taken down), while Insomniac employees were also seemingly teasing upcoming news.
Earlier in the year, Insomniac confirmed that development on the title was progressing well, and it was still on track to launch in 2023 as planned. With its release now narrowed down further, it now remains to be seen how long of a wait it will be before we get to see more of the game.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is in development exclusively for PS5.
