We haven’t seen or heard anything about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 since Sony announced it in September 2021, and audiences are beginning to get antsy for that to change soon, especially given the fact that it’s now the only first party PlayStation title that’s officially confirmed to launch in 2023. There have, however, been some recent developments that have suggested that we might be hearing more about the superhero sequel soon.

As spotted by @Wario64 on Twitter, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 recently popped up on the UK PlayStation Store very briefly and was available to wishlist. That page has since been taken down, but the fact that it briefly went up has led to some speculation that Sony and Insomniac might be gearing up to begin talking about the game in earnest. Recently, in fact, Insomniac employees’ Twitter activity has also suggested that we might be getting an update on the game in the near future. Read more on that through here.

Earlier in the year, Insomniac reassured fans that development on the title was proceeding well, and that the game was still on track to launch in 2023, as previously announced.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is in development exclusively for PS5.
