Metal Gear Survive Announced for 2017: 4 Player Co-Op Versus Zombies

Touted as "fresh take on series' stealth elements".

As per IGN, Konami has announced Metal Gear Survive, stealth co-op title taking place immediately after Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes and releasing in 2017 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It will support four players and sees Militaires Sans Frontières members transported to an alternate dimension to fight off zombie-like creatures called “biological threats” (and some hulking beast of sorts).

Konami European president Tomotada Tashiro, “Metal Gear Survive will offer a fresh take on the series’ famed stealth elements but within a unique co-op setting that is designed for a truly engrossing multiplayer experience.”

Along with using new weapons to fight with, Konami promises “survival done the Metal Gear way” and teaming up to battle “massive threats” in this dangerous alternate universe. From the looks of things, it also appears players will be scavenging materials to rebuild the remains of Mother Base, fortifying it against the biological threats in order to return home.
