Metal Gear Survive Has Seen 92% Drop In Player Base As Compared To Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

Metal Gear Survive may not survive at this rate.

Some of you may have predicted  that Metal  Gear Survive wouldn’t become a great success. Fans of the series have been angry at Konami for using the Metal Gear brand name in a game about fighting zombies. There have also been other controversies surrounding the game such  as the fact that extra save slots will have to be purchased  with real money. The game has  debuted with a maximum of only 7,713 concurrent players over the weekend which certainly disappointing compared to the reception enjoyed  by the previous game in the series.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain had seen 90,952 players back in September 2015 when it had first released, which means that there has been a 92% drop in the player base in Metal Gear Survive comparatively. It certainly makes sense that fans aren’t too pleased with the latest iteration in the series since  the game doesn’t hold up very well on its own terms either.

Not sure what Konami will do next since it doesn’t look like Metal Gear Survive will be able to carry its own weight.

Thanks, Githyp.
