Metroid Dread amiibo Pack Delayed in Europe and the UK

The new Samus Aran and E.M.M.I. amiibo pack will now launch in the UK and Europe in November, Nintendo has confirmed.

New amiibo figures and major new Nintendo releases go hand in hand, and with Metroid Dread being Nintendo’s big Switch game for the end of 2021, it’s not surprise that they’re doing the same with it. A double pack including figures for Samas Aran and the new E.M.M.I. robots is due out alongside the game in October, but those in Europe and the UK will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on them.

Nintendo has confirmed on Twitter that due to “unforeseen shipping delays”, Metroid Dread’s amiibo pack has been delayed in the UK and Europe by a month, and will now launch on November 5. The game, however, is still on track for its planned launch, Nintendo reassures, so don’t worry about that.

The Samus amiibo in the double pack can be used in the game once for a permanent increase to health, while the E.M.M.I. robot amiibo is used to permanently increase missile capacity. Of course, even with the delay, there’s a very good chance that a lot of people won’t be able to buy the figures early on, what with availability being so thin.

Metroid Dread launches for the Switch on October 8.
