Michel Ancel Not Working on Beyond Good and Evil 2

Ubisoft's Tom Key confirms that there's "nothing to talk about right now".

Beyond Good and Evil 2 was conspicuous by its absence at Ubisoft’s E3 2015 event and for good reason. Not only did senior VP of sales and marketing at Ubisoft Tom Key reveal that there’s nothing to talk about at this stage, but he also confirmed to IGN that creator Michel Ancel was not working on it.

“So he’s a busy guy right now. But no… He’s got things going on and I can’t really comment on his bandwidth. I know he’s very busy. We still work with him on things.”

As for the game’s progress, Key said, “There’s just nothing to talk about right now. We don’t really have anything to say. We appreciate how much people really want it.”

Beyond Good & Evil 2 was confirmed to be heading to PS4, Xbox One and PC last year but then Ancel started his own studio to work on a new game called WiLD. We don’t necessarily blame him for not working on BG&E 2, especially given the delays thus far, but it is a bummer nonetheless.
