343 Industries’ Halo 5: Guardians is now available across the world, including in India for Rs. 4,699. Microsoft has been hyping the release up for a while, including through a six hour live broadcast on YouTube that featured celebrity appearances and gameplay.
Perhaps most interesting are the comments by Anshu Mor, director for interactive entertainment business in Microsoft India. “Games and gamers are at the center of everything we do and we’re always looking to offer the best ways to play on Xbox. With the launch of Halo 5, we hope to offer fans slick gameplay and a fantastic campaign. The two new multiplayer modes mark the greatest evolution in Halo history,” Mor stated in a press release.
Of the various multiplayer modes seen in Halo 5: Guardians, Warzone and Arena have been getting the most attention but players are still craving for Big Team Battle and a wider variety of playlists. While it’s likely that 343 Industries has other playlists it will introduce, it should be interesting to see how Halo fans view the new multiplayer modes in the long run.
