Microsoft has finally revealed its third quarter, fiscal year 2013 results ending on March 31st 2014. The company reported a $20.4 billion revenue and net income of $5.66 billion. Two million Xbox consoles had been sold, which included 1.2 million Xbox One units as the Devices and Consumer Hardware sector saw $1.97 million in revenue.
Total revenue in the past nine months till March 31st 2014 was $8.19 million, as Devices and Consumer revenue stood at $8.30 billion, rising by 12 percent. Total commercial revenue was reported to be $12.23 billion for a growth of 7 percent.
CEO Satya Nadella stated that, “This quarter’s results demonstrate the strength of our business, as well as the opportunities we see in a mobile-first, cloud-first world. We are making good progress in our consumer services like Bing and Office 365 Home, and our commercial customers continue to embrace our cloud solutions.
“Both position us well for long-term growth. We are focused on executing rapidly and delivering bold, innovative products that people love to use.”
