Microsoft Says Xbox One Has Great Future In Wake of Price Cut

'We have the best games, exclusives, and new IP.'

You should now know that today, Microsoft announced a $50 price cut across all models of the Xbox One in North America, leading to some ridiculously good deals, such as the Assassin’s Creed bundle, where you can get Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Assassin’s Creed Unity, and the Xbox One itself, for just $350. This was an unexpected announcement, and the second major price cut for the console.

Obviously, some are wondering now whether the console is viable in the long term if it has already needed two major price cuts before it is even a year old (instead of just seeing it for the strategically smart move that it is, giving Microsoft a leg up during the holiday season, especially with the Master Chief Collection coming up). Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg today answered that question on Twitter, and his analysis is that the Xbox One has a great future ahead of it.

“We have the best games, exclusives, and new IP,” Greenberg said. “A bright future ahead for sure!”

I mean, of course he would say that, but personally, I think I agree with him, especially considering how the Xbox One has had a better year so far than the PS4 has had, at least in terms of games.
