Microsoft Share Details On Their Plans For E3 2016

Microsoft are bringing the festival to your home.

Microsoft’s E3 2016 showing will focus not just on Xbox, but also Windows 10- making this year the first time that the firm has focused on PC gaming at E3 since they started attending the convention. Microsoft will be airing their E3 showing on Spike TV, as well as live on Xbox, and on xbox.com.

That won’t be all, either- taking a leaf out of Nintendo’s book, Microsoft will be having their own version of the vaunted ‘Treehouse’ streams, as they will be streaming “breaking news, exclusive announcements, trailer reveals, game demos, and interviews” with game developers on June 14-15.

The official Xbox Twitch stream will run:

  • Tuesday, June 14 12-4pm PT
  • Wednesday, June 15 10am-4pm PT
  • Thursday, June 16 10am-5pm PT

As for what we can expect at Microsoft’s showing, we should probably look at seeing more of Halo Wars 2, Gears of War 4, Sea of Thieves, ReCore, Forza Horizon 3, and Crackdown 3; we may also get new Xbox hardware, too- at the very least, a newer, slimmer Xbox One console seems to be in the pipeline.

Whatever Microsoft’s plans for E3 may be, we will be covering it all here for you, live and as it happens, at GamingBolt.
