Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg Talks About How Company Has Changed Thanks To Console Wars

Greenberg is helping Microsoft look for ways to keep being successful.

While some people might think that being behind the eight ball, otherwise known as the PS4 would be bad for the Xbox One. Aaron Greenberg recently sat down for an interview with IGN and talked about how Microsoft has changed over the last few years and managed to adjust to the console wars. Greenberg added that while the Xbox One is trailing the PS4 in the console sales the company has actually been on a bit of a roll. Despite seeing quite a bit of success since 2003, the firm is apparently looking to change in order to stay ahead of the curve and continue to be successful.

“It’s the same challenge we have in gaming, like okay, so in a mobile first, cloud first world, in a world where we want as many people to play our games, to be connected to our service, how do we expand our aspirations even beyond just being about only trying to win the console wars? Who knows how that all plays out, but I think it presents a lot of opportunity for us. We’re nowhere near done in our vision, how we want to drive our business and impact the games industry,” Greenberg said.

Microsoft has taken one turn by bringing Windows 10 to the console wars. This operating system isn’t about the consoles but it does show that Microsoft is looking for ways to adapt and the last couple of moves have made the firm more successful recently. Greenberg is happy with the future of Xbox One as it rolls into 2016.
