Microsoft’s Gamescom Will be “A Real Show” , “Focus on Gameplay This Year” at E3

Phil Spencer won't announce "what games are where right now".

Microsoft announced a fair amount of titles last year during its E3 2015 showing and it was easy for a lot of games to get lost in the shuffle. Those usually don’t re-emerge until next E3 but it seems they could move to Gamescom this year.

Xbox division boss Phil Spencer did provide a little update on Twitter on Gamescom, stating that it will be treated as an actual event this year. “We kind of treated it as E3-again in past, now we plan a real show. Only issue is short time between GC and E3, tough to manage.”

There will also be a focus on gameplay this year as opposed to “misleading trailers”. “I really heard that feedback from last year. Early games can be tough but we’ve made a point to focus on gameplay this year.”
