Monolith Productions’ Middle Earth: Shadow of War released a few weeks ago but if you’re already starving for stuff to do, then there won’t be a long wait. Publisher Warner Bros. talked more about the four expansions coming to the game with the $40 Season Pass with the first DLC out in November.
The Slaughter Tribe, as they’re called, are a new tribe that can ambush players out of the blue. The DLC will include new missions, a new fortress with an Overlord throne room, new monuments and outposts and of course, new Epic and Legendary Orcs. The second DLC is the Outlaw Tribe releasing in December and it will also add new missions, a new fortress, Overlord throne room and outposts, and new Epic and Legendary Orcs.
The Blade of Galadriel is a story expansion that will arrive in February 2018 and sees players controlling the assassin Eltarie who uses the “Light of Galadriel” for new abilities and skills. She’s also capable of equipping different gear. Look for new Nemesis characters like Flint and Tinder along with the Slayer of the Dead.
Then there’s the Desolation of Mordor expansion releasing in May 2018 where players control Baranor and fight a “new Orc threat” from the East. A new region, the Desert of Lithlad, will be added along with new gear. If you don’t want to purchase the Season Pass, then each DLC pack will cost $15 separately (with Desolation of Mordor costing $20).
