EA and DICE’s Mirror’s Edge Catalyst has already been delayed once- it was originally slated to launch in February this year, before it was delayed into May. However, now, just weeks before the planned launch, EA and DICE have announced a second delay- apparently Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will now be launching in June worldwide.
“To support the Social Play features, we are using a brand new online technology. We also want to make sure we have the opportunity and time to address player feedback from the Closed Beta,” Erik Odeldahl, Design Director, said. “That is why we will give ourselves a bit more time to perfect the game, with a new release date for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst of June 7th (NA) and June 9th (EU). We’re confident that these extra two weeks will make sure the game is as amazing as possible for you the players.”
I mean, I am pretty sure exactly no Mirror’s Edge fan actually gives a damn about the social features, but hey. At least they’re fixing the game instead of rushing it out, I guess.
Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is now slated to launch on June 7 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
