Mirror’s Edge Catalyst’s Story Is About Faith Finding Her Calling in Life and Society- DICE

“The story revolves around Faith, her life, her early life, and how she gets to a point when she’s a runner on rooftops.”

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is almost here- in a dramatic tradition from most DICE games (except for the original Mirror’s Edge), this is a game that focuses on a story that it has to tell, a story that means something, and it also focuses on how it tells that story.

Speaking to Examiner, DICE’s Lead Producer Amo Mostofi discussed the game’s story, and how the players would see it, and Faith’s character, unfold and developer over the course of the game.

“In terms of the type of story, there were a number of things we looked at. In terms of the story, we knew we wanted to focus on something that was grounded in reality and something people could actually draw parallels to in real life,” said Mostofi, “The story revolves around Faith, her life, her early life, and how she gets to a point when she’s a runner on rooftops.”

The game begins right as Faith has been released from prison, and attempts to make a fresh start. “In terms of where the story goes, this is a story about a girl who starts off as someone who is somewhat mature, but as the story unfolds, she realizes she plays a bigger role in society. “

It sounds like a journey of self discovery- something that should resonate with each player once Mirror’s Edge Catalyst releases in June on Xbox one, PlayStation 4, and PC.
