Monster Hunter Riders Announced for iOS, Android

Available in Japan this Winter, the title will be free to play with microtransactions.

Monster Hunter Stories fans on mobile, take note: Capcom has revealed a brand new mobile Monster Hunter title for iOS and Android. Monster Hunter Riders releases in Japan this Winter and will be free to play with microtransactions. Check out the first trailer below, which admittedly looks very sleek.

The story centers around the “Ten Great Dragon Knights” who saved the world at some point. However, Felgia will soon face strife from the dark riders so the player will need to create their own team of riders and monsters to fight back. Monsters consist of the likes of Rathalos, Glavenus, Nargacuga, Zinogre and more with others to be added through updates.

The combat is more about issuing commands but still looks pretty good. You’ll raise monsters, take on quests and work towards protecting Felgia. Pre-registration for the title is currently available on Google Play and the Apple Store. Stay tuned for more details and expect a Western release somewhere down the line.
