Monster Hunter Rise has been enjoying excellent sales on the Switch since its launch in March, and with a PC release now set in stone for January, its player base is going to expand even further. With the game being inherently so focused on multiplayer, the question is always going to be whether cross-platform play is going to be supported. And though that hasn’t yet been confirmed, there’s a chance that Capcom ends up implementing the feature.
Following their Monster Hunter Rise showing at TGS 2021 – in which they also revealed several new details on the upcoming expansion, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak – Capcom published a tweet linking to a survey for the game. Interestingly enough, the survey also asks if you’d like to see cross-play and cross-progression across PC and Switch versions of the game- and given how good Capcom tends to be about listening to feedback from fans, filling out that survey will probably be a good idea.
Monster Hunter Rise is available on the Switch, and launches for PC on January 12. Sunbreak will launch simultaneously for both platforms in Summer 2022.
