Monster Hunter Stories 1 Remaster Gameplay Showcases Upgraded Visuals

Capcom has showcased what the first half hour of the turn-based RPG's upcoming remaster is going to look like.

The Monster Hunter Stories games have carved out a solid niche for themselves in the Capcom series’ fanbase, and soon, the spinoff line is going to have the chance to gain more new fans when the remaster of the original Monster Hunter Stories launches next month.

Ahead of its release, Capcom recently hosted a livestream where, among other things, it showcased a healthy chunk of new gameplay footage for the upcoming Monster Hunter Stories. The remaster will boast enhanced visuals, improved environments and character models, and, of course, voice acting (unlike the original game), all of which is on display in the video, which showcases the game’s opening half hour or so. Check it out below (at around the 1:03:10 mark).

Monster Hunter Stories is coming to PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on June 14. On the same day, its sequel, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will also get PS4 port.
