Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Crosses 2.8 Million Worldwide Shipments

The massive expansion has proved to be very successful for Capcom.

In their recent quarterly financial call, Capcom announced updated sales figures for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, and the massive expansion has continued to perform impressively for the Japanese publisher. Standing at 2.5 million worldwide shipments shortly after launch, Capcom now reports that worldwide shipments for the expansion have crossed 2.8 million worldwide.

It’s worth nothing that that figure is only for the month of September, with the financial quarter having ended on September 30th, which means Iceborne managed to sell 2.8 million in less than a month, having launched on September 6. The expansion also releases for PC in January, so sales are bound to be driven even higher at that point.

Support for Iceborne is looking solid in the upcoming month. In November, Capcom is kicking off the Monster Hunter World: Iceborne x Resident Evil 2 collaboration event, while PC players will be getting access to Rajang in February, a month after launch.

Recently, Capcom also announced that Monster Hunter World – the base game – had surpassed 14 million worldwide shipments.
