Naughty Dog Defends Against Claims That Uncharted Is Colorless, Final Name To Be Revealed Later

"But we’ll keep that in mind as we build new worlds on a new platform."

Unless you are living under a rock, you must be aware that Naughty Dog is working on a new Uncharted for the PlayStation 4. This was revealed at the North American PlayStation 4 launch party yesterday. However there is some confusion among the gaming community on what the game will be called and whether it will have a sub title.

The official Twitter feed of Naughty Dog cleared the confusion by revealing that the new name will be decided later.

“No real name yet – so it’s just #uncharted for now. we just agreed it’s a good day to be a @PlayStation gamer!,” states one tweet.

“Right now everything is just confirming we’re working on an #Uncharted game only. the rest, like name, is TBD,” reads another tweet.

Furthermore there were users who think Naughty Dog should have developed a new Jak instead of Uncharted. According to the user, games like Uncharted and The Last of Us are colorless. However Arne Meyer, Community Strategist at Naughty Dog defended against this claim by stating that each of their games is unique but Naughty Dog will keep the advice in mind when they develop news worlds in Uncharted on the PlayStation 4.

“I see. Well, I think we’ve made some really colorful worlds with both Uncharted and The Last of Us. They have their own unique elements of course — TLOU was a bit dark, but there was some great bright colors, the sunset lighting in Bill’s Town I always thought was amazing. The Uncharted games did that too — with the different environments and colorful cities. But we’ll keep that in mind as we build new worlds on a new platform, thanks for letting us know what you like.,” she said in a comment on the PS Blog.
