The Last of Us Remastered won’t exactly be a one to one port of the PlayStation 4. But then again, there are valid concerns for someone who has already played through the game. Why would anyone buy it again to essentially play the same thing which was released barely a year ago? Eric Monacelli from Naughty Dog has responded to these concerns.
“We’re putting a lot of effort into this to make it really a remastered version. We have found that working on the PS4 has allowed us to evolve and upgrade the visuals and a multitude of technical aspects of the game. We love setting challenging technical hurdles at every step – and this is no different,” Eric said in the comments section of PS Blog.
Eric also confirmed that multiplayer progress won’t carry over from the PS3 version, however they will be revealing more about the multiplayer plans soon.
The Last of Us Remastered will release exclusively on the PlayStation 4 this Summer.
