With one final expansion, DICE is putting content for Battlefield 1 to bed, but when they launched it they also unknowingly introduced a huge amount of lag and stuttering when players began to earn points in the new assignments for Apocalypse. DICE has now dropped another emergency patch to try to mediate the bug.
DICE would confirm that the rewards system was a bit overloaded by the new elements, and shifted some of the afflictions and assignments around in the hopes of making things smoother for the players. Any progress made before the patch won’t be lost, thankfully.
The Apocalypse update itself officially launches soon, and is in early access right now. The update is a pretty large one, so best make some space for the DLC if you’re still playing the game. The full patch notes for this latest change can be found just below the story. Will you be getting back into Battlefield 1? Let us know in the comments.
Patch notes:
