New Elite Dangerous Update Will Focus On Multiplayer

Plus, new craft teased.

Elite: Dangerous, Frontier’s massive space sim, has been out for a while now, and if you haven’t been entirely happy with the game, well, Frontier isn’t giving up on you just yet. The game, which has seen multiple updates since launch, is due to get another major one soon (version 1.2), and this update will focus mostly on multiplayer, the developer teased.

The new update is supposedly due out in March and it introduces new social systems, allowing players to group together, communicate and locate friends from across the galaxy. Frontier declined to go into more specifics, but needless to say, this already sounds pretty promising.

In addition to all of this, Frontier also seems to be teasing a brand new spacecraft- it’s called Fer-de-Lance, and it will also debut with this update.

Elite Dangerous is out now on PCs, with a Mac version promised to be coming soon. Stay tuned.
