New Sony Rewards System Will Trade Points For Games

Sony gets it

The raging console war has forced many a gamer to choose sides – Sony or Microsoft. Sony, it seems, is aware of this fact. In order to reward customer loyalty, Sony is now implementing a new rewards system, in which gamers can exchange points that they earn though use or PlayStation services for games, consoles, and more.

Now, that said, it seems that one still needs to spend money to accrue these points. But the good thing is that it’s money you’d probably already be spending – now you’re just getting a little added bonus. As of now sources say that gamers will get one point for every dollar spent via the PlayStation Rewards system. Right now the amount of points needed for the various rewards offered has yet to be disclosed.

Sony has also stated that points can be used at third party stores, such as Game Stop and Best Buy. Additionally, Sony is offering a 100 point bonus to anyone who signs up for the service, which comes out to a %500 bonus. A larger bonus will be awarded to gamers who sign up via the use of the official PlayStation credit card.
