After making cameos in Marvel vs Capcom games over the past few, oh, decades, a NeoGAF user apparently discovered box art for a new Strider game on the official Xbox site. The box art has since been removed but it’s still very much intact for your viewing pleasure.
An entry on the Steam Database also exists for Achievements for this new Strider game. So we can at least speculate that it’s a digital downloadable title meant for Xbox Live at this point, though it’s possible that it could also arrive on PSN.
The first Strider was released in 1989, and was a side-scrolling action platformer game where you play as the high-tech ninja Strider Hiryu and must slay a despotic figure in the future known as the Grandmaster. Strider 2 was released in 1999 for Arcades, with a home console release in 2000, that featured the return of Strider in the avatar we currently recognize today.
