New System Update for Xbox One Now Available

As always, it adds a slew of features.

The newest system update for the Xbox One is now out. This update, which is the latest in a line of fixes Microsoft has introduced since the console’s launch back in November, further fixes and streamlines the Xbox One UI and experience; it’s not as major as Microsoft’s updates released in the last few months, but it is still fairly substantial, adding a new sound mixer for snapped apps, chat volume controls for when using the Kinect, and the option to help Microsoft improve speech recognition on the system.

Another system update for the console is planned in June, which will bring Microsoft’s revamped Games with Gold program to the system, and might also introduce support for external hard drive and storage devices.

Microsoft has been very punctual with system updates, quickly adding missing features to the console, and bringing it on par with not just the PS4, but also the Xbox 360, which to this day remains more full featured than any of the three current next generation consoles on the market.
