Microsoft has officially started rolling out the new dashboard and while most people have been talking about how much they like it, there have also been some reported issues with the rollout. Among the things that have apparently been plaguing a few of the users, as this dashboard rolls out, is a rather long and slow bootup process. Other users have reported they have spotted blank tiles and still others are saying there are issues with signing in after numerous attempts.
VG247 is reporting the different fixes that they have found for these kinds of problems. When it comes to the slow powerup after the new dashboard has been installed the website says users should “allow up to 15 minutes on the green Xbox One boot-up animation before you begin troubleshooting. If the screen doesn’t change after that amount of time has passed, hold the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds until the console powers down. Wait 15 seconds, then power the console back on.”
Another problem is some applications are getting stuck on a screen claiming they need an update. Apparently you’ll need to insert the disc for the game or sign into the account that actually purchased the application or game in order to move the installation process forward. Hopefully, once Microsoft has finished rolling out the actual new dashboard, the company will start rolling out updates that will fix these problems before users have to find a workaround.
