NieR Automata New Gameplay Footage Showcases The Game’s RPG Elements

Yes, remember, this game is an RPG...

Given that Platinum Games are the ones actually developing NieR Automata, it can sometimes be easy to forget that the game is the latest in a series of an RPG, and therefore expected to be an RPG itself. Much of the focus so far has been on the combat, but this new extended gameplay video for the game that we got today showcases a lot of the game’s RPG elements.

These features shown off include a quest hub, different skills, a buffs system, and of course, a fishing minigame, because what kind of an RPG doesn’t have a fishing minigame. The footage is 28 minutes long, but if you are a NieR fan, it may be worth it for you to watch it.

NieR Automata is due out on March 7 in North America, and March 10 in Europe. The game is set to launch for PS4 and PC. Check out the footage below for yourself, and let us know what you think in the comments section.
