Nier Automata Quests, Plug-in Chip System Detailed

"Very Hard" difficulty gameplay also showcased.

As part of the recently released demo for Nier: Automata, creative director Taro Yoko, producer Yosuke Saito, lead game designer Takahisa Taura and game designer Isao Negishi sat down with voice actress Keiko Isobe (who plays Operator 60) to experience the demo and share some new details.

Negishi noted that sub-quests could be received from the Resistance base once the player talks to leader Anemone. From this point onwards, you can pick up other quests from the Resistance members. Then there’s the Plug-in Chip system which is used to equip different skills.

These can vary from converting slashes to ranged attacks, stopping time after dodging, slowing down time temporarily, countering attacks and much more. Chips can either drop from enemies or acquired from vendors.

You can alo check out the gameplay to see how Negishi fares on the Very Hard difficulty. Nier: Automata is scheduled to release on March 7th 2017 for PS4.
