NieR Automata Will Have Multiple Endings, “55 to 60 Hours” For Completionists

You're in for the long haul with NieR: Automata.

During a recent Facebook Q&A session, Square Enix revealed some new information Platinum Games’ NieR: Automata. NeoGAF captured some of the cooler points including the possibility of multiple endings.

Producer Yosuke Saito was asked about how long NieR: Automata would be. He stated that, “To get to the true ending, the team tells me around 25 hours. For completionists, it’ll be around 55 to 60 hours.” That sounds like a fairly hefty experience though it likely includes playthroughs on different difficulties.

When asked about extra costumes, Saito said, “That’s a secret!” However, it does seem like there will be multiple endings. “Of course, but they won’t be unlocked in the same way as the previous game. You’ll have to figure out how to get them on your own.”

Finally, could we see a remaster of the original NieR or a re-release? According to Saito, “There is a very high possibility if NieR Automata sells like hotcakes, yes.”

NieR: Automata is out on March 7th in North America for PS4 and releases later this year for PC.
