Nihol Falcom has made a couple of pretty major announcements of late, having announced not only the next mainline Ys title with Ys 10: Nordics, but also Nintendo Switch remaster of an older entry in the series with Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana. And as it turns out, the latter isn’t going to be the only opportunity to jump back into one of the developer’s older offerings in the near future.
Speaking recently with Weekly Famitsu (via Ryokutya), president Toshihiro Kondo confirmed that including the aforementioned The Oath in Felghana, the company has three remasters/re-releases scheduled to release. While he didn’t give specific timeframe as to when these games might be out, as Gematsu points out, the company has previously said that it intends to release three remasters for the Nintendo Switch by September 30, 2023. Of course, what these games will end up being isn’t something that’s yet been confirmed.
Meanwhile, Kondo also confirmed that Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana will run at 60 FPS on the Nintendo Switch and feature several balance adjustments.
Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana is set to launch in Japan for the Switch in Spring 2023, with Ys 10: Nordics arriving for PS5, PS4, and Switch in the same year. A Western release is yet to be confirmed for both games. Several details were also recently on the upcoming Ys 10: Nordic’s more action-heavy combat and new combat mechanics.
