No Man’s Sky: New Details About Adventuring Through The Universe

21-minute video gives us the longest look at the game yet.

A brand new demo for No Man’s Sky is giving gamers the best look yet at the upcoming game. The video was officially unveiled on IGN by No Man’s Sky co-director Sean Murray. Some of the details are things we either knew or guessed about, such as each single player adventure will take place on a different planets. Considering how it would take a couple of billion years to see the entire universe in the game, the planets will be entirely unique when compared to other players.

Exploring can be done inside your spaceship, or outside the ship. Players will want to spend quite a bit of time gathering resources, so they can make repairs to their ship and upgrade their craft as well. Part of No Man’s Sky will have players talking to alien races and to do this, you’ll have to figure out their languages.

Sometimes this will be done by using a conversation tree and other times players will have to find various puzzle pieces during their travels. There’s a ton of information in the 21-minute video below, including a new tidbits about enormous cave networks that will hide a ton of loot.
