You would need to learn alien languages to make this work.

43. No Man's Sky

As we get ever closer to the release of No Man’s Sky, we’re getting a few pieces of information trickling out from developer Hello Games. The latest little tidbit appears to be a look behind the curtain as to how players are going to be able to communicate with NPCs in the game. NeoGaf user Travisbickle recently posted an image that leaked from a meeting the developer held.

The image, attached to this article appears to show the player attempting to have a conversation with an alien life form they have encountered. The picture also shows what looks like No Man’s Sky‘s version of a conversation tree. As the NeoGaf user points out, one of the differences in this game and others that have had this kind of a feature is the player actually has to learn the alien’s language.

Those who have laid eyes on the picture have offered up the guess that the orange colored word in the picture is the alien word you actually know. The rest of the conversation tree has you trying to guess how you should respond. Hello Games has not come out and detailed this feature in the game so at this point we’re left to guess how this is going to work. Luckily for us, we aren’t going to have to wait that much longer to see this kind of conversations for ourselves. No Man’s Sky is coming to the PC and the PS4 as a console exclusive on June 21, 2016.
