No Man’s Sky was Sci-Fi a game that came in from the flanks during E3 2014 and devastated all who tried to stand before it. The game stole that point in time for itself and made sure that you looked nowhere, but at the screen.
But despite its (quite frankly amazing) on screen display of gameplay that visited strange new worlds and explored the great void of space, no one mentioned that No Man’s Sky would remain a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
Edge (who will be running a 12 page spread on the game in September) has confirmed that the game is in fact a timed exclusive on Sony’s latest piece of gaming hardware. The indie developed Sci-Fi game is now also slated to be arriving on the PC at some point in time, sadly there’s no specific date just yet, only a rather vague 2015 release window.
When it was first announced during Sony’s E3 press conference, Sean Murray (one of the developers from Hello Games) took to the stage and told the audience that the “procedural universe” of No Man’s Sky was Infinite and that every player would have their own unique beginning and experience. So all you intrepid explorers will have to wait just a little bit longer to get your hands on it.
