Nvidia’s two newest graphics cards, the GTX 780 and the GTX 770 seem to have hit a bit of a snag in the market, prompting the company to drop their prices. Their main competition, the Radeon R9 290 X and the soon to be released R9 290 are both reported to be faster than the GTX 780, and as of now the R9 290 is coming out at a lower price point. Understandably, Nvidia’s hands are somewhat tied in this matter.
However Nvidia does still have another graphics card as they’re only two weeks away from releasing them onto the market, the GeForce GTX 780 Ti, whose initial selling price is yet to be determined. As far as the the current graphics card situation goes, it seems that consumers should wait unit the Friday release of the R9 290 price to see which is the superior deal insight of these price cuts.
Speaking of which, the new prices are:
- NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 780 will now sell at 499 US dollars or 430 EUR.
- NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 770 will now at 329 US dollars or 279 in EUR.
