Nvidia today took the wraps off of the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, its latest and greatest GPU, and allegedly its fastest one yet. Based on its Pascal architecture, the GTX 1080 Ti delivers up to 35 percent more performance than the GTX 1080 and comes with 11GB of GDDR5X memory, which runs at a jaw dropping 11Gbps.
The card, the announcement of which is no doubt timed to coincide with AMD’s new cards set to launch this week, will be available on March 10 for $699. There will be, yet again, a Founder’s Edition of cards, although it will be available at the same time, and cost the same. Pre-orders will go live on March 2 at 8 a.m. PT on nvidia.com.
No matter whether you bleed Nvidia green, or AMD red, there is now little doubt that for PC gamers, this is an exciting time- if you want cutting edge performance delivered at reasonable costs, there has never been a better time for you, between AMD and Nvidia’s offerings.
