Oddworld Inhabitants’ Oddworld: Soulstorm will finally release next week after years of development. In a new gameplay presentation at the Future Games Show, director Lorne Lanning revealed a mission that sees Abe sneaking onto a train. Check it out below.
Of course, getting to the train means avoiding trouble at the station. Abe will avoid snipers and guards by hiding in smokescreens, though more aggressive players can take out the latter with crafted weapons. From there, it’s a mix of platforming and puzzle-solving to rescue the different Mudokons.
As you rescue more Mudokons, there’s a chance they can be caught in any number of environmental hazards and die (which adds to the negative Quarma score). If Quarma works the same as previous games, then expect these deaths to impact the ending in severe ways. Oddworld: Soulstorm is out on April 6th for PS4, PS5 and PC via the Epic Games Store. PlayStation Plus subscribers can also download the PS5 version for free next month.
