Assassin’s Creed Unity suffered a staggeringly bad launch when it arrived on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC this month, playing host to a wide variety of bugs and glitches, some of which ranged from funny and bizarre to utterly game breaking.
In an attempt to assuage gamers and handle damage control, Ubisoft launched a series of Live Update Blogs to keep players up to date with the games ongoing updates. Patch 3 is about to roll out across all platforms this week, bringing with it over 300 fixes to the game. One has to ask how a game was allowed to launch with 300 known errors in it, but that’s a discussion for another time.
The patch will fix a number of random crashes during campaign and co-op play, it will fix a variety of gameplay navigation problems resulting in players getting stuck in the world geometry or not being able to interact with it properly at all.
AI & crowed tweaks have been implemented, targeting detection and animation issues whereas multiple other fixes and tweaks are aimed primarily at matchmaking issues. The list of required updates and fixes is extensive and you can find it here on the update blog.
