Pathologic 2 Arrives on May 23rd for Steam

The follow-up to the original plague survival title also receives a new trailer.

One of the other interesting reveals at Gearbox’s PAX East panel was Pathologic 2, developed by Ice-Pick Lodge and published by tinyBuild. Much like the original thriller, players must find out what’s causing the death of a rural town. The most recent trailer provided plenty of unsettling visuals, and the game itself is out on May 23rd for Steam.

The main plot focuses on a plague that’s destroying the town, causing a social collapse. With the local healer dead, it’s your job to try and save the people. Not everyone can be lifted up from oblivion though, and it seems the children might have something to do with what’s going on.

Either way, players have 12 days to figure out exactly what’s going on. Managing things like hunger and exhaustion is important, but these will become tougher to deal with as time goes by. Players will have to find resources by any means necessary, even if that means begging and stealing. It’s an interesting premise and we can’t wait to see how it’s evolved over the first game.
