Persona 4 Arena Is Now Playable On Xbox One Via Backward Compatibility

Now bring over Ultimax.

Generally when you think Persona, you don’t think Xbox- and yet, Persona 4 Arena, the famous crossover fighting game spin off starring fan favorite characters from Persona 3 and 4, released on the Xbox 360 (as did its follow up, Ultimax). And, thanks to the Xbox One’s backward compatibility feature, it has become the only current generation platform capable of playing the game.

Yes, Persona 4 Arena is now playable on Xbox One thanks to the system’s backward compatibility functionality. It headlines an otherwise rather mediocre bunch of games that are added to the list this time around- Cars: Mater-National, Jewel Quest, and Tecmo Bowl Throwback.

Persona 4 Arena followed the story of Persona 4 Golden, and… honestly, I still don’t know what happened in its plot, it was utterly ridiculous and nonsensical. That said, it finally gave our nameless Persona 4 protagonist a canon name and character, and gave us the chance to play as Chie and kick Yosuke’s ass for real, so it was all well and good.
