Atlus may not have officially announced a Western release date but Amazon Canada currently has Persona 5 Royal available to preorder. Though listings on the PlayStation Store in Taiwan and Indonesia indicated February 2020 release, it seems the RPG is releasing on March 31st, 2020 in North America. It’s likely that the announcement was to be made today and the retailer jumped the gun.
Regardless, it has the Phantom Thieves Edition and Steelbook Edition available to preorder. The latter simply includes a Steelbook cover with the base game and a dynamic theme. It’s the Phantom Thieves Edition that contains all of the physical extras such as a Joker Mask with stand, Steelbook case, art book, Collector’s Box and soundtrack.
Check out the images for both below. Persona 5 Royal is currently available for PS4 in Japan and has shipped 400,000 units in the region since launch. Overall, Persona 5 has sold over 3.2 million units worldwide with sales for the entire series exceeding 11.1 million units.
