Even though almost every major sport has been canceled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic (except for professional wrestling, for whatever reason), it’s that time of the year for the virtual sports to start coming out, and it seems the outbreak won’t be stopping them. EA is planning to still release all their big hitters, and 2K looks to start revealing their slate with the one being a technical newcomer, PGA Tour 2K21.
2K Game released a very brief teaser to announce the game, which you can see below. The game is being developed by HB Studios, who you will recognize as the developers of The Golf Club titles, which was made when Tiger Woods PGA Tour ceased to be. HB released titles up until 2018, and now it seems they’ve inked a publishing deal with 2K. While technically that would make this the fourth installment, it will be taking the name PGA Tour 2K going forward. More details will be revealed next week, on the 14th.
As you can see from the teaser, only logos for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch are shown. It’s unclear at this time if more platforms are planned, and no time frame was given for when to expect it to drop.
