While there has already been plenty showcased about upcoming Soulslike action game Phantom Blade Zero, developer S-Game has released another new video with IGN, showing off 10 minutes of uninterrupted gameplay. Check it out below.
The video shows off what seems to be early parts of the game, complete with tutorial prompts for combos and other basic movement options like crouching. The game’s combo system is on full display with the early tutorial shown off in the video, encouraging the player to switch between different weapons to learn various attacks and defensive options.
After finishing the tutorial, the player is set free in a level filled with different enemies, with several encounters playing out differently depending on the weapons and techniques used by the player.
S-Game had previously provided a hands-on demonstration of Phantom Blade Zero, where the studio revealed that, while it is influenced by Soulslike titles, inspiration was also taken from games like Devil May Cry, as well as the Wuxia genre, with free-flowing combos being one of the key features of the game’s combat.
Phantom Blade Zero is coming to PC and PS5, but doesn’t yet have a release date.
