Obsidian’s Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire has seen much success since its crowd-funding campaign launched on Fig. It crossed the $1.1 million goal in less than 24 hours and currently stands at $$3,098,361 with less than three days remaining.
The latest stretch-goal achieved with this funding is “Relationships” which is explained by design director Josh Sawyer in the video below. The next stretch-goal at $3.25 million is for the ability to have four “Sidekicks” adventure with you throughout Eora.
Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire is a direct sequel tot he first game and is currently due to release in early 2018. Along with a new region and characters, it will also contain sea travel, dynamic weather and even more reactive reactions from your decisions. It’s even possible to continue your save from the previous game and see how things play out.
