Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Passes Funding Goal in Less Than 24 Hours

As expected.

As expected of the IP that set a record for the fastest funded Kickstarter ever, Obsidian Entertainment’s Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire managed to surpass its $1.1 million funding goal on Fig in less than 24 hours.

Currently, the total funding sits at $1,124,606. Equity is still set at $2.25 million so invest if you truly want to have a role in the game’s development.

With the base funding goal reached, backers can now look to the first stretch goal which is set at $1.4 million. This will add two sub-classes for each class, thus increasing the variety of customization and replay value for players.

Like its predecessor, Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire is an old school-style isometric RPG which directly continues the story of the original. You’ll be dealing with an angry deity in a new environment and Obsidian is promising more open world freedom, “truly living cities” and the ability to transfer saves from the original.
