PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Hits 10 Million Copies Sold

Nothing stops this train.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been a veritable sensation since it launched in Early Access on Steam back in March, breaking all manner of records. Today, it hit another major milestone- in just six months since its launch, the game has gone on to sell a staggering 10 million copies worldwide, which makes this one of the highest selling games of the year.

The sales aren’t the only impressive thing, either- the game also hit a new concurrent players record, with 970,000 players logged in and playing it concurrently- bringing the game within kissing distance of hitting a million concurrent players worldwide.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is currently in early access, and available only on PC. The game is due to launch on Xbox One (albeit also in Early Access, via Xbox Game Preview) later this year; a full final release for the game is also scheduled for later this year, although a hard date for that is currently not known.
