PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Sneaks Bots Into Mobile To Ease Players In – Report

Chicken dinner - but did you really earn it?

The major appeal of the smash Battle Royale hit PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is how 100 real human players are dropped into a bloodbath together, with the last survivor really feeling like they’ve accomplished something. It’s not supposed to be an easy game, but that kind of hardcore experience could scare away some more casual players.

According to a recent report from The Verge, it seems that the recently launched mobile port of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds initially populates games with low level AI bots, and increasingly add more human players as the player’s level, and assumed experience with the game and controls rises. Again, Tencent or PUBG Corp. has not commented on the matter.

Whether you feel like the use of bots betrays what makes the game special in the first place, or is a good way to ease in the more casual mobile market into the genre, PUBG Mobile seems to be seeing positive user and media reviews,.
