Pokemon GO, the mobile megahit based on the massive franchise, has been evolving (no pun intended) as time goes on. The game is still simple and easy to play, but has added a lot of new Pokemon and even introduced events and ongoing canon as Team Rocket is up to no good now. But next year it’ll add a feature that most probably expected to be there day 1: online battles.
As announced via developer Niantic’s blog, early next year you’ll finally be able to battle strangers online through the GO Battle League. No longer will you be required to have met someone in real life to battle them across the internet.
As of now, that’ s all that we know with more details slated to come at a later date. It’s definitely something that will help the game have an even longer shelf life, if such a thing is even really possible at this point. Don’t forget that the game has an ongoing Halloween event happening now until November 1st.
