Pokemon GO

While several Pokemon mobile titles have been launched, really the original still mostly reigns supreme with Pokemon GO. The title is still going strong, with hints of a big event happening soon with Team Rocket. But before we get there, this year’s Halloween event is about to start, and it promises lots of fun costumes, new Pokemon and shadow Pokemon to save from Team Rocket.

The event was announced via the trailer below, starting later this week. You’ll be able to catch a lot of Pokemon in cute costumes, some of which are cosplaying as other Pokemon (or it’s the dead and tattered skin of Pokemon they’ve defeated). You can also dress up your own avatar in fun costumes from the shop. It’s not just all costumed fun however, as new dark Pokemon that need some rescue are part of the update, as well as new raids that will see the GO debut of Darkrai.

Pokemon GO is available now on all compatible iOS and Android devices. The Halloween event will run from October 17th to November 1st.
